Because they were very affordable... Bought them used for a great deal ($1100 shipped)...would have loved to gotten 8" or 8.5" but you know...

+30 is still a pretty nice offset for that width IMO. $1100 is a great pick up for those wheels. BTW kanchi are those the seibon ones?

Those TEs look good. I wouldn't mind some in bronze.

Got one wheel apart today. I was gonna write a how-to because I could only find examples for rebuilding BBS RS but I don't feel like it lol.

Lol thanks man. It takes too much time to stop and take a pic while you're trying to do something. It took me like an hour just to get it apart. It was siliconed to hell and back. My goal is to have them on by April 16th but at this rate it shouldn't take too long. They're getting stripped this weekend and then I'll start sanding. Polished lips and idk what to do with the faces yet.

Even like a brushed face with a polished lip would be hot. Those are some awesome wheels, in for the win!

Thanks man. Yeah the holes are gonna be the toughest part but at least they're only half circles. I may have to rig something up with my drill/dremel to get the holes to shine like the flat surfaces.

If I don't paint the faces I'll probably polish them since they're just made up of flat surfaces.

I just spent the last 12 hours trying to get the paint off of them. I gotta buy more aircraft stripper tomorrow. I have a whole new respect for rebuilding wheels.
