Ummm, I'm pretty sure anyone with a TT kit would walk all over a charger. Stock, no. Boosted with a good tune. Yes.

 

well actually its 425 hp but im sure you all ready knew that. a 250hp car will not walk over a 425hp boat. granted the charger is almost 5k pounds and auto. the tc should get the jump but will get overtaken but 3rd gear the latest. but here we go again getting off topic. you guys want to bs some more take it to a pm.

Most of the TT kitted tc's are making closer to 300 or over. I think a 300+ hp tc will drive away from a 400hp charger that weighs a ton more. I may be wrong here but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Most people with a TT kit are putting around 275 TO THE WHEELS. Which means the engine would be rated at roughly 300hp. The SRT8 Charger only puts about 375 to the wheels. That means the Charger only has about 100 more hp than the tC, plus it weighs about 1300lbs more. Sorry.

Oh wow, just found out that dyno is with cams, headwork, catback, and cai. So a stock SRT-8 probably only puts about 320 to the wheels.

im sure it would get the jump on teh charger. but 425hp os alot. i still think the charger would pull on the tc ounch the got moving over 40. dosent help that the tc has such short 1 and 2nd gears either

yes 425 is a lot, but when you take in account, the HEAVY wheels, and the fact that the car alone weighs more then 1300 more then the tC and put that next to a 275 whp tC it will get spanked all day everyday.

Karbon, have you ever been in a boosted tc???? If not just give up. 1-2 gear arent great but once you are in 3rd these cars pull hard as hell. The only way the charger will be passing a TT tc is when it reaches 127 or higher MPH and thats only because we top out there unless the limiter has been bypassed.

 

You need to learn what wheel hp is. A stock SRT8 puts 320-340 to the wheels. A boosted tC on a 57trim running 10psi with EL manifold and 3" turboback, will put 300-310 to the wheels.

Are you trying to say that 30 hp is enough to compensate for 1300lbs? Go learn some physics, then come back.
