Powder Coating and Tire Pressure Sensors (06)
I searched already and I read the 07+ sticky, no luck so far
I'm planning on getting my stock wheels powder coated, I read on how the system in the 05 and 06 models works, but I couldn't find much more than that.
Basically the guy that would be coating them said they would have to remove/cut off the valve caps. I know the 06 wheels use a different kind of sensor than the 07+, but is it easy to remove if I'm getting the wheel coated? if so is it easy to reinstall? If i cant remove it what has to be done? etc..

the 05-06 tc's use the abs wheel speed sensors for the tpms system, while the 07 and up models use sensors in the valve stems. so there shouldn't be any sensors in your tires that you have to worry about.
OEM wheels are better than cheap aftermarket rims.
theres a 20+ page thread in this forum of people showing off their painted OEMs, it doesn't seem that uncommon, plus I like the way they look :D

65 each, 67 if I want the lug nuts and the badges done as well, I think I might opt for the latter and repaint the scion lettering on the badges black myself, having the silver color randomly in the middle bothers me somewhat.
White. Everyone goes black or bronze, and I've always been a fan of white wheels on a white car.
I'm waiting a couple months for my wear indicators to show, I'd rather kill two birds with one stone and not pay to have tires removed twice in a 3 month period
