Default Question regarding tire to front bumper...

.....so i just recently changed my rims and lowered my ride a bit and I noticed that on my diver side the gap between the front tire and the bumper is a tighter fit than the passenger side. I was wondering why that might be? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

if it is just a little bit of a difference in the gap...honestly that is normal...it has to do with how the springs settle during their break in period. Probably mainly to do with if you generally are the only person in the car...so you're just adding your weight to the driver's side during settling. I'm on a 2" Hotchkis drop and fully settled...my driver's side sits about 1/8th inch lower than pass. side. Not hardly noticeable. So unless you have a drastic difference or it's causing you to rub, you dont have anything to worry about.

Actually I was referring to the gap from the side of the tire to the edge of the wheel well, horizontal. You know what I mean. To the front bumper.

^^^ so after you lowered it the tire was closer to the front part of the wheel opening? wow.. that shouldn't have happened. Should be about equal space front and rear, on either side of the tire to the body (wheel opening).

have you hit anything? the only thing I can think of is the lower control arm shifting to cause the tire to move forward like that. any pulling when driving?

Cool so all I need to do is get an alignment. That is what I was thinking, but needed to make sure.

Thank you.
