Default Quick question about TC Rims

ok, i brought my car to a local shop to get my new tires installed,

when i picked up the car i noticed something felt different meaning the car felt heavier, now i know its not the new tires cause ive already went through a set and i know how it felt last time i got it,could it be that the shop over tighten my lug nuts reason why i mention this is cause a buddy of mine brought his to the same shop a few weeks ago and the car just felt different for some reason when he picked it up,felt sluggish everything was correctly installed,so he had the lug nuts checked out he thought maybe there were to tight and he was right,he had it check out and it was torque to 85 lb.....now i dont know if that would cause the problem, but im experience the same problem, car feels heavyier and sluggish almost like i have 50lb of extra weight in the car...w

so would over tighting the lug nuts cause any issues

Did they actually balance your wheels after? They could of just kept the old weights on.

that is too tight. i think the specs are around 85-90 lb-ft of torque. lose nuts fall off, over torqued leads to damage.

also, be careful not to over tighten wheel locks, they can crack under the stress and be difficult to take off.

and you would be CORRECT! It is 76ft-lbs, not 100ft-lbs. And to those who want to say it doesn't matter, good luck with warped brake rotors/discs in the future.

well it's simple. What tires did you get? tell us and we can find how much each tire weighs. If it weighs more than stock, then that's why it's sluggish! Heavier tires = more weight = more power to move tires = suspension is weighed down by heavier tires = unsprung weight.
