Hey guys I'm trying to fit my 18x10s in the back but when I rolled the rear I can't roll enough because of that rear bumper mount screw that's in the way... Any ideas? What do you guys suggest?

I took out the screw and trimmed the bumper a little bit. if you go low enough, your tires will most likely hit the edge of rear bumper and where the fender and bumper meets (the metal part). My rear quarter panels have been shaved which is better than rolling to me.

 

what tire model and size did you end up getting??

I'm stretching 225/40 in the back and 225/35 in the front . The front fits fine no problem but the back is rubbing on that dang rear bumper mount screw

 

just cut it and find a different way to screw it on...make a bracket or soemthing who knows. theres always a way, you just gotta be unique.

 

iv'e seen those plastic zip ties work

like riboflavin said, i would hammer the metal where the fender and bumper meet, i was having issues of rubbin there so i flattened the ____ out of it, lol

i shaved that part off, took out my fender liner and pretty much its just hanging on by the 2 screws in the trunk and bottom clips..

 

I am having the same problem. I already removed the bolt, but can anyone elaborate more on what i should bang with a hammer or cut? Anyone have any pics??

Naw I already rolled my fenders that is not the problem..the problem is that it is rubbing on the rear bolt and bumper.

back on topic.. Try getting some camber out.. (more neg. camber)

 

yeh but the thing is if i put more neg. camber it will not look as aggressive. I actually went to get an alignment today and they got rid of my neg camber in the rear which i wanted but now i am having this problem.

 

i may just go the camber route for a while...i am changing set ups for the winter anyway.

 

Im just curious for those that used zip ties, What if you happen to rub the zip tie....wont it break? Im a bit skeptical about it but im thinking of doing it cuz it hurts my ears when I hear the rub

 

i considered the zip tie option, but I couldnt figure out where to loop it through unless i drilled a hole through the metal panel underneath the bumper.
