Default Road Noise

For the last month or so i have been hearing a lot of noise from my tires. I can't really tell you how loud because i have nothing to compare it to, but with the windows closed i can hear the rotations. My question is, what do you think is the problem. I just put new wheels on today, so it isnt the wheels. Thanks for looking.

Also, the car is in desperate need of an alignment, but i want to wait until i do coilovers to that.

What tire are you running. I know when I had my Kumho's the road noise was so loud that I though something was wrong. Switched to Vredestein tires and there is almost zero noise. Other thank a possible tire out of balance on the wheel, it could just be an alignment is needed.

Also, how is your tire pressure? Generally, the higher the tire pressure, the louder the road noise.

tires are the stock potenza's i think. also the tire pressure is fine. It may just be because it is like 100 here and they are getting low on tread and i need an alignment.

If you have new wheels, and you put new tires on it, I bet the issue is with the tires. I know this from my other cars, the tires can make a big difference in ride, noise, and responsiveness.

PS Go get the alignment and save your tires. The $50-$60 now is better (and cheaper) than replacing your all of your tires later.

Humm... That's interesting because per every about 2 degree increase in temperature, road noise could decrease by as much as .1 db. Maybe it is just the combination of low tread and suspension malalignment or even tire choice like mentioned above.
