Stock tC rim backspacing

Stock tC rim backspacing
I can't find it anywhere on the internet or this forum, unless I missed something. Rims I'm shooting for are 17x8 offset +40 w/ 6.14" backspacing. Does anyone know the stock rim backspacing? And what does backspacing mean? I couldnt find a diagram either. Or anything about backspacing in the wheel tire fitment thread.
Thanks in advance, sorry if this info is really posted elsewhere

Backspacing? I don't think that's a spec that we've paid much attention to in tC land... My guess would be it is the distance from the mounting face of the wheel to the back edge of it towards the car. Not sure though, I haven't looked it up.

Ah, here we go:
"Backspacing is the distance from the inside bolting surface of the rim to the outer edge of the inboard side of the rim."

So it would be the "rear spacing" portion of this pic they have:

Ok that does help some. I've seen like 10 of those diagrams, none covering back/front spacing tho haha. I thought backspacing would have to do with caliper clearence, but it looks like offset might have more to do with that?
Bought a set of used rims/tires once from someone who owned an '05 tC. Mine is an '06. We both had new brake pads and the dealer said nothing in the wheel/brake area of either model was different. The rims fit her car, but rubbed my calipers. Weird, very weird. Needless to say I'm making my research very prolonged and thorough before I spend $900, heh.
Thanks again
