idk, I've compared my tc with an 08 a couple of times and stock height for the 08 is much much higher then stock for 05. idk.

yeah I think its bc toyota realized how doofy it looks for the newer tc's so they use that to there advantage for them to get springs straight from the dealer

I don't think they're higher. Wear and tear makes the suspension sag.

The day I brought mine home...

I could actually get over curbs with it.

i did 2 at a time. swap one wheel with the doughnut and leave the jack holding up the other one, then wait about 5 hours and put them back on and do the next side another day. i did 2 sunday morning, put them back on just before dark, drove to work monday, and just finished the last 2 today. they are drying for a few hours and then ill throw them back on tonight.

i also noticed that your better off doing one whole side first. this way your car doesn't look like crap. most people will only see one side of your car when you are driving.

haha i was thinking do the two front tires first then the two rear but what you said makes total sense LOL. The only thing I'm concerned about now is the clear coat..................i've had horrible experience with Duplicolor clear coat. It ALWAYS orange peels even on the best of my projects so i was thinking something like Krylon Satin clear coat. As for getting the initial clear coat off........Baseboard cleaner from work!!!! AHAHAHA That thing eats through the finish off linoleum flooring haha so I hope it eats away the clear coat on the stock rims making my job that much easier

Why do they look like they're dirty/finger printed already or is it just the light/angle? That's the color I'm going for.

mine came out great. the only problem i had was spraying in the corners and in the holes for the lugs. i believe its called the faraday cage effect. but if i didnt put the nozzle directly into the holes and corners it would not stick. it would be powdery and just wipe off. the duplicolor wheel paint dries so fast that if you dont hold the can close enough it dries before it hits the wheel.

the clear coat, i put down 2 HEAVY coats and got no orange peel. dont use krylon clear over duplicolor. actually, i wouldnt use krylon on my wheels at all. WORST case scenario, you have to do a little wet sanding if the duplicolor clear gets orange peel, which i doubt it will

prepping for painting, i used 00 steel wool. really easy to get into the corners.

CRAP! I had 2 FULL SETS of extra stock wheels and tires...one was already painted black. tires were kinda bald, though...and I sold for $50 a set!

Anyway, I did it over a weekend using jack stands. Fronts one day...rears the next, but I was planning on doing front one weekend and rears the next weekend.
