tire pressure
Just purchased 2007 TC with the standard 17 inch tires. Should i use the recommened psi from the door panel which is 32 front 29 rear or can i go higher since i live in NYC and some of the roads are really in bad shape.
Thanks, Joe
Thanks, Joe
Sure you can run higher pressures. I've had mine at 36F/32R for a year, no probs at all.
This gives you slightly better fuel economy and improved cornering performance.
When I rotated the tires at 5k miles, the treadwear was even, so no worries.

Stick with the factory recommended specs please. If a vehicle's tires are overinflated, they could be damaged more easily when encountering potholes or debris in the road, as well as experience irregular tread wear.

if you pump the pressure up on the tires, the tread will wear out faster, and there will be a slightly higher chance of blowing a tire out on a pothole.
If you dont inflate the tires enough, you will get horrible gas mileage.
i also live in NYC, and i would recommend you keep the tire pressure 32/29 on stock tires.

Thanks, I know where the tire pressure information is, but part of my mods on my '05 tC was a change to the Enkei Super 7 18" wheels, and I wondered if there was a different pressure guide inside the RS1 door jam since the are delivered with the Enkei 18" wheels.
