Default Tire Pressure light Keeps coming on!

Hey guys,
I know there are other threads about this. I saw them before I posted this one, but it seems like I'm the only one who has this problem of that light not shutting off. It happened 4 times this far in about 3 months. I even took it to the dealer (well my dad did cause I was working) and they apparently fixed it. Nonetheless, two days ago it comes on again. I know wheel alignment also has something to do with the light coming on, but it was fine for close to a month and then it turns on again.

Anyone else have this problem repetitively? Any ideas what to do? Thanks!

Btw, I wasn't sure if I should have put this in wheels and tires or susp and handling. Feel free to move if i was wrong. sorry.

you should take your car to the dealership again and have it checked out... or you can try making sure all your tire pressures are correct and reset it... there should be a reset button by the glove box... thats where it is on my 08... from my understanding you need to drive it for a bit after you reset it for it to fix itself... the dealership should know, give them a call...

Default Tire sensor

Hey i know if you use fix a flat or any similar product it will corrode the sensor and make the light keep coming on. If thats not the case i would continue to harass the dealership until they fix it. Good luck

I have an 05 and somehow shut mine off i think. It was doing the same thing for me when I put snow tires on...I believe 05's sensor is on the brake caliper where the newer models use something different. I think I held the button in and turned the key off and on a few times..It was a long time ago and I'm sure I couldn't find the post on this site...Again I'm guessing on this one.

yo kingofska thanks a lot jackass, i did read the fukin manual u piece of shiet. And I did do exactly what it told me to, and as i stated i took it to the dealer already. I was just trying to see if this happens to anyone repeatedly. retard.

To everyone else, no I don't have after market rims and seriously I haven't done anything to the car recently. It's a DD which my parents use quite often as well because we just use whichever car happens to be outside. Thanks for all the input tho.

maybe a nail or something is causing the tire(s) to leak?

Yeah, see it's so fuggin hard to figure out. You'd think schaumburg toyota would have figured it out when the car was brought in to them. But apparently not. I'll take it back to them again I guess. Thanks again.

dawg if you have aftermarket rims you need to put the or exchnage the the stupid stem air nozzle things were you put air in the tires. There is a sensor that the car uses for the light. if you dont exchnage them then the light will not go away. so just exchange the air valve/nozzles from your stock rims to the aftermarket rims. if you dont have aftermarket wheels then you have a bad sensor on one of your wheels. good luck.
