Default Tire pressure light went off a couple of times

My tire pressure light went off about 3 times. I remember driving to a gas station and while I was on the road heard a pop coming from the back of my car. I checked all my tires while I was filling up my tank and there was nothing that punctured my tire. I didn't hear any air leaks either. Later that night I was the designated driver and I had a car full of people and since I run low offsets I rubbed a couple of times and that is when my tire pressure light showed up. Before going home I reset the tire pressure about 2 times because it went off about that much by the time I got home. The next day I got to drive it to my friends house and leave it parked there for a while since he took us to LA in his ride. But coming back home with 1 passenger in my ride, it went off again. Maybe its from the rubbing? I have rubbed my tires a couple times before and never had this problem.

Check tire pressure first.

I'm actually having a similar problem. I'm lowered and I took my friend for a ride and the tire pressure light came on. The tires are all filled. No leaks. Even after resetting the TPMS multiple times, it still keeps coming back on. Nothing irregular happened. It did happen when I downshifted to speed up. I have no clue what is going on.

You have an 05, which does not have sensors in the tires. Simply pressing the button will make it turn off.. for a bit.. and it will just come back on again. You need to follow the full initialization procedure from your owners manual, starting with making sure the tires are at the proper pressures.

1) Set the pressures to the correct value (See owners manual or door jamb)
2) press the button and hold it until the light goes off.. then blinks 3 times

I checked my tire pressure and the psi is really close to what the manual says. If it does come back on again i'll take all your advice.

If you dont initialize it per the manuals instructions, it will most likely come back on soon.

Re-initializing it is what sets its "normal" values, which is how it is able to properly manage tire pressure through individual wheel speeds.

I have a 06 and the light kept going off. I figured it was the cold weather messing with the tires.
