My tire pressure light came on today going into work. I didnt have chance to look at it until I got off work and I took a look the tires looked like they had enough air to make it home. When I got home I checked my tire pressures and my rear left was at 20. I found a 1 1/2" nail in my tire. So The Tire Pressure Monitoring System does work but it has to be at least 10psi low.

there is a way you can "reset" the monitor system, its in the manual....

 

Mine probally worked before it got that low also but I didn't get to check it until 6 hours later and I was down to 20 or so.

 

I drove for 4 miles with it extremely low and 3-4 blocks on the rim, changed to my donut, and drove for 12 miles or so and then my light came on. The thing should have came on in the first mile of my tire being low. I am calling the dealership tomorrow.
