Default Tire pressure sensor and cold weather?

Any one had a problem with their sensors saying they have pressure issues as a result of cold weather? this weekend i parked the car at 8pm 75* outside. got in my car at 530 am 49* outside, rode less then a mile and my pressure light came on. i flipped out pulled over checked all the wheels and didnt see anything... got back on the road and drove to my show (3 hour drive) light was on the whole way, go to the show and it was 65* outside, washed my car at a local car wash, and then did my roll in, on my roll in the light went off...

wtf?

(all temps are from the car temp reader)

I had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday. I thought, I just bought this car and I already got a flat. Pulled over and nothing.
I think it has something to do with the air in the tire being more dense since its cold. Mine went off after about 10 minutes.

that was my thought after i looked at the tires but the whole drive i was thinking "theyve been spining for over an hour now, shouldnt the air have heated up by now " lol oh well, as long as im not the only one.

If it is an 07 or above it actually reads tire pressure, so if it is colder, pressure will be lower than normal and could trigger the light.

If it is an 06 or below it simply reads off of tire rotation and detects a flat if one is spinning consistantly faster than the others. In this case I am not sure why temp would effect it since all tires should be lower by the same amount.

When you reset it, be sure to follow the owners manual instructions correctly or it will come back on again.

Mine is an 05, and has been driven in temps ranging from -20F to 105F and I have never had an issues with mine coming on. It came on once, and I had a low tire.

The exact same thing happened to me last week. It dropped below 50* and the tire light came on ( I've got an '07)... only I was a bit more paranoid. I drove it the .5 mile home, parked it, and the next morning went out... pressure light was still on, so I pulled out my tire gauge and ended up removing the tire with the lowest pressure.. (Safe than sorry)

After an embarrassing trip to the local tire shop, I inflated all the tires (all were 1-3 PSI low) to their proper pressures and haven't had a problem since...
