not so sure on the weight on those Weds SA-90, contact the merchent.. Steve can tell you. My guess is they are on the heavier side, since the C-one wheels I believe are based off this same wheel design... and for a 17X7.5 they are prob. at least 18-19lbs each.
I was just told by Kamispeed:
Hello,
Can you please tell me what the weight of the C-ONE SA-90 "Titanium Silver" 16x7" 4-100 wheel is ?
Thanks in advance.

"Hello,

The SA90 wheels weight 18lbs for the 16x7 , 4X100.

Kami Speed"

**That is the CAST version wheel he quoted me(I believe cost was $220 per wheel). So what your telling me TCpete, is that a 17X7 SA90 wheel weights almost 17lbs , when it is 1 size bigger thne the 16X7 size Kami-speed quoted me the weight of the 16" @ 18lbs. Ohhhhhhhhh , I forgot.. let me guess, since the tC is a 5X100 lug spacing , there is one more drill-hole required for the wheel ... so thats gotta bring down the weight another 1+ pound

Then it sounds like you should take that 50 series tire off.. and get something more low profile on there, if its that bad. Not so sure what she is going to be doing with these wheels , tracking it , daily driving, etc ???? Maybe she can chime in .

Claudia.... what I can recommend , for your price range is in Gun-metal: two Buddy Club wheels that are cast = about $160ea. , or for BRONZE I'd go with the 5Zigen FN01R-C wheel = $187/196 ea. There is a forged version of that FN01R wheel, but it only comes in white or black = about $400ea.

Thats the best that I can do. Wheel manufactures make a forged + cast wheel of the same wheel desgin(mainly if it is popular enough), so that the masses can then afford the less expensive version, and as long as quality control is up to par in there plant, a cast wheel can still provide years+years of great service to the daily driver - or even someone who occationally tracks there wheels.

if you want ill try and dig up the nice picture of my rims on a scale so u can eat it up lol.. no biggie for me bro.. lol and im running a 50 series because i track heavily and autoX heavily and frankly i running the larger tire on a lower inflation will give me a tad more traction and rubber compound on the ground then a 45(my preference)... plus im taking turns at 70-90 on average heavily and i experience it.. i doubt she will be taking turns as much a igh rate of speed as i would daily driving.. plus she most likely going to need something larger then a 50 to fill up that gap!! and thats boerderline rediculous to run for weight and even aesthetic appeal.

plus if you've even looked inside the wheel you'll notice it had a nice set of deeeeep groves in the spokes which easily explain why they are light.. less metal = less weight... thats cute you had to PM someone to try to get an answer that pretty much cali coast dist. really know. lol.. i can PM darth vader and im sure he can come up with something also... btw ...be my guess telling her to run a monster truck of a tire lol... im sure when she takes that first turn on heavier wheel/tire combo she'll thank you for the suggestion.

The only reason I got my BF KDW2 is because of my hard turns. I hate the noise but I need to take those turns how I like them =D

I need a lightweight rim for winter use, daily driver, need reliability of course, etc...

If I can't find a good match to this then I'll stick with my stockies and slap some winter tires on them.

as you know, DTD just had that $100 off tire and/or wheel set .....
careful on that DTD site. i ordered the 'matte black' feathers based off of the image on the DTD site and after doing more research i discovered that the wheels are truly a 'matte black', not the 'hyper' or almost 'gun metal' black/gray shown in the image used on the site. i cancelled my order because i wanted more of the gun metal rather than a flat/matte black.

they were very polite and apologetic and glady refunded me my money. im not knocking them at all, but just wanted you to be aware that the image doesnt represent the true color of the wheel.

there is a very good reason(s) why those wheels are as inexpensive as they are.
