Default Wheel brand experience question

I searched... but the answer Im looking for/ feedback... is more specific.

Please chime in if you have any knowledge about this wheel set I came across on eBay. I really like the finish on it... but don't really know anything about the manufacturer.

Thanks!

the finish is my favorite thing about this wheel.

also... anyone know if the standard 215/225 45R 17 will fit well on the wheel as its 7.5" and I believe the stock tc alloys are quite that wide. I don't want to stetch the tires to make them properly.

Yes the oem 215/45 will fit. The wheel has pretty much the same specs as stock. You can go 225 if yu want more rubber 2 the street.lol Are yu lowered?

Yeah.. Im lowered. Not tucked though... I have about a 1 finger-width gap from top of tire to fender all the way around. I did that on purpose so I could have a nice aggressive stance while still making it drivable on most city streets w/o doing damage to any parts.

I was mainly curious about the sidewall height on this wheel. I knew they were pretty close to the stock 17's on our tCs. I've always ran 225's on my stock tC rims for both of my tCs. It's only a few mm's wider and there are a lot more choices and price ranges in that size over the 215s.

It won't be that aggressive but def a good DD setup. I'm saving to run sum 18x10s next year hopefully or at least some 18x9's lol....so Buy them, wrap em in 225's and then post pics.lol

I'm running 225s on 7.5" wheels and they're not stretched at all. 215s seem like they may stretch a touch. My track tires are 225s on stock 7" and those are stuffed onto the wheel. I'd say get 225s, stretch FTL. If you wanna see how they fit lemme know. I can show you sometime.

Thanks man... it's appreciated. I've been running 225's on the stock tC 17" alloys since I got my 1st tC back in 06. So I'm pretty familar with the fitment. I just wanted to make sure that the wheels I was looking at were close enough to the dimensions of the stock oem 17" alloy that I wouldn't have to buy new tires if I got that wheel set.
Seems like most that have posted in my thread here are generally fans of that type of finish for wheels on a tC. I've also considered having NVMyTc here on SL do a bronze/copper finish on the stock 17s. But not being local to him, it almost puts it up into the cost range of buying a new set of wheels. Check out his powdercoating thread if you haven't seen his work yet. He does awesome quality work. It's not a reflection on his pricing, it's just that the shipping cost kills it for me b/c of not being local and wheels being heavy & expensive to ship.
