hey i recently gotten into autoX and im getting enkei rpf1s. ive seen many people run 17" but im thinking about running 18". is there a reason why people run 17" not 18"? im going to be dropped on H&R springs sport and i kinda want looks and performance. im looking at 18x8.5 +35mm, trying to keep that flush look

17's are lighter

 

17's are better for the track, but 18's look better.
either way though, those wheels will make your car look sick.

 

If you really want autox wheels... you shouldn't be considering looks as any sort of priority. Doesn't matter if they're flush or not... just get them as wide and light as possible and get as wide of tire as possible.

Be sure to check your class rules for wheel/tire width. Sometimes it matters.
