Default Wheel Size Options

I bought a lowering kit for my 2008 TC. I havent yet put it on, supposed to lower the car about 1.7in to 2in after the springs settle. I was wondering about wheel sizing. I have been told i can put 20in wheels on the car. The reason to go the the larger size is to lower the cost of the tires. i guess buying 225/35/19s and more expensive then 235/40/20s. or do I go with 18in wheels and stay with the 215/45/18s that are the stock size tires. Will 20s look to stupid? will 19s be ok while still going with the larger tire? or stay 18s with the stock tire size?

Personally, I would stay with 18's but you can do 19's.

I just put the TRD shocks and lowering springs (1.25" drop) on mine, and Ive got 18x8 Enkei RPF1's and it looks and feels perfect....if you go with 20's and lower it you are gonna hate how it drives, the suspension geometry is gonna be awful and you will more than likely rub on the firewall when you turn. Just my 2 cents, but I would def stay with 18's on your daily driver unless you are just trying to build a show car.

yeah, i think 20's would be to much. I need to get a set of wheels on the car and see what it looks like. I just dont want to spend the money on 18's when they are only 1in larger than the stock 17's i have. dont notice the size difference that much.

Well if you really want the illest look of all, have a little cash, and want to look badazz without going overboard and still having a car that drives decently, I would suggest doing the "Offset" look: Go 18x8's in the front and go 19x8.5's in the rear with, both with about a +35 offeset, that would look absolutely sick.

That sounds like it would be cool but doesnt make sense to have a larger tire on the back cuz its a front wheel drive and it would be stupid to put the larger wheel on the front. I think im just going to make the guys at the wheel shop go crazy after I make them put a bunch of different setups on my car...
