You should look at what I did to my tc.. (56k BlackOut)
Okay so, Ive been bored with how my 08 SW looks, so I started Project BlackOut. Stage 1 is complete. and project BlackOut has 4 parts. I will continue to update as I go. Stage one was going from this..

to
this..

How you might ask? well i used.
this..

okay, now we see what you used but how exactly did you do it?
WELL.. im not going to write a DIY because i dont want to be held responsible if anything goes wrong but i can show you using some pictures.. it was quite simple really.. first...

then i took thoes, and did this to them.. (and no they arent flee colars)

and

after i did that... i used ONE of the cans uptop and did this to some perfectly good wheels...

and a close up in case you are confused...

after i made them look like that i waited a while and ate some mac n cheese.. sorry.. no pictures of that.. but after my lunch i did this..

and a close up in case you are confused..

so after i did that.. i waited about an hour, then i did it again, waited an hour, and did it again. i then waited over night. when i woke up i had these sitting in my garage..

so i then did this..

and FINALLY...

comments welcome, questions welcome.

Dk, i didnt really want hood pins but im a strong believer in the "ifs its happened, it will happen to me" rule so i thought, better safe then sorry. and im lowered on trd springs, just a badish angle and i was like 10min late to work so pics were rushed with i finished.
and 08FM, i didnt sand, i just used that self-etching primer. i probably should have sanded but i was doing this all alone and i had heard good things about the self etching primer so i thought id be a test dummy for all the people too scared to sand their wheels
i did 1 coat primer 3 coats paint. with 1 hour wait inbetween each coat

oh man, TRD's, why even bother. LOL!
umm yeah, dude, your welcome for the temps btw
oh yeah, did you call about the 3-car tint deal?
Dk, so far they are good. i wish i had more paint and painted at a diffrent angle, i sorta missed some spokes on some coats so some dont have as much paint as others.
and Tyler, when i said "i was all by my self" THAT WAS A LIE. i know you would have been there to help me but you had other plans and couldnt be there for me, and yes i really do appreciate you letting me use your stockies, ill get them back to you tomorrow.

Um blizz, you'll just have to wait. Its not a big deal but to me it is.
And nebster, its just like anyone posting pictures of getting new wheels. It changes the look of the car completly. It was easy to do and cheaper then spending a thousand plus dollers on new wheels. It may be "getting old" to you, but to me its brand new, and I'm happy with it. And I thought I'd help people with painting their wheels without having to sand. So thanks for the bump.
