Default Your All Season Tires ???

Hey everyone I have a question for ya'll that live in cold weather areas ,

What all season tires do you have? would you suggest them for others>

I have the stock yoko 's right now.. and the tread is about 70 percent gone. They have been great for my the last yars and half , but i Think its time i try something else.

Avon Tech M550's... about the best all season I have come across... That is also supported by most of the comparisons I have seen on TireRack as well. You can get them for $100 a pop. They are good on the dry, ROCK in the rain, held their own and then some for all seasons on the autox course and do as well as any other all season I have seen in the snow. Mine arent doing so well in the snow this year... but the wear bars are coming quick so they need to be replaced soon.

I have the yoko avid's and they are great in the rain and normal driving, not to mention they have a tread rating of 500. They were good in the snow last year but this year not so good. I eneded up ordering some 15in snow tires yesterday

Don't have them yet as I'm in the same situation as you, but I'm 99% sure I'm going with the Kumho ECSTA ASX. They're $90 a tire I think. Supposed to be decent in snow.

The AST will be pretty poor in snow if you look at its ratings on Tire Rack. The ASX is the better choice, but seems to still fall short of the Avons in all the areas other than ride and noise. But I have found the Avons to be great riding and not too noisey.

Both the ASX and the Avons are good tires though, just be sure to get what you need for the conditions you drive in.

yea i did alot of comparison I was looking for tires in my price range that where rated a bitter stock for all season use.. I would have gotten winter tire, but my apt. is right off the High was so in my job.. so snow isn't that big of an issue. Unless is over 8inches. and at that point i don't think it would make much of a diffrence i would just call out of work.

If you want some good performing summer tires, I would recommend Toyo Proxes T1R or Falken FK452.

Continental Extreme Contacts are THE best snow performance on a 4 season tire. Wet and dry is not bad considering it is a 4 season. Only downside is they are a bit on the loud side but they do last a LONG time. Remember price is one factor but longetivity can make a more expensive tire actually cheaper to own over the course of it's life.

Cooper zeon a/s sports ftw! I installed these on my tc and they rock! Better then my stock yokos and have a really good treadwear rating. I havent tried them in snow yet since i just installed them in August but i have read they do pretty well.

^^ Except if I recall corectly they are summer tires and would absolutely suck in winter conditions in Jersey, which is what he is looking for.

I've used the Falken 452's in the past and they worked pretty well for me.

If you look up a few posts, he is now asking for suggestions on summer tires.
