Hmm nobody mentioned toyo proxes 4 yet in this post? I've heard good things about them, im actually leaning towards getting them after I read a post that they suck in snow (lol I dont know im concerned with snow), any inputs on toyo p4?
toyo proxes4 are very good, had one or two that were vibrating, they found out they were out of round. Replaced them, no problems. guess nothing is perfect. The snow traction is like a 4 or 5 out of 10, it can get you home but stay there, lol. I wish it was better in the snow, i wonder what the new BFG g-sport a/s will be like.
But you being in texas, you'll not have a problem with snow like we do in michigan. I say go for the proxes4, they're a comfortable ride, responsive, no loss in mpg's, traction in wet and dry, no difference both are excellent. plus if lets say you get them from a toyo dealer and you don't like them, you have 45days/500 miles to trade them to something else. Not too bad.

I went from the stock Bridgestones (that sucked all the way around) to Yokohoma Avids. By far these tires are the best and have used them on all of my previous cars. With the old Bridgestones I could only do 50 mph if it was raining. With these I have gone speeds of 90 mph in the rain with no problems what so ever. In what little bit of snow we have had so far this year these tires worked great and these tires were about 94 a tire I believe.
avid h4's? im glad you like them, but my buddy had them on his tc, and the ride was not comfortable, hit every bump like it was a pothole from the grand canyon! very hard riding, and yes i checked the air pressures. plus when i was steering his tC, the steering was vague and like driving grandma's buick! he wanted my confirmation that it wasn't in his mind. he got rid of them and got the proxes4's that i recommended, now it drives like the tC is supposed to.
Im not trying to put you down for your tire choice, it's just I find it surprising you like them when I did drive in a tC with them and found them to be anything but responsive or smooth riding.
The ones that my friend tried out were the Avid H4's, h-rated may have had something to do with it's sloppiness.
