Its that good stock.

EDIT: I have the upgraded Alpine head unit, and have never heard the stock radio, but I cant imagine it is that much difference...
Hmmm good question on the alpine unit... i dont know but I do know that the SNS 2000 and OEM Audio plus speakers are a good strong combo. I believe it has more kick than the regular pioneer radio.

no it wont work...their engineers design the products specifically for the specs/cabin of the specific car. however...(see below)

I wish someone in this forum can vouch for me how crazy this system is.
i can vouch...i have heard it at a car meet...i have heard it at their shop...i have heard it with my radio in their demo car...i have seen (and touched) the RS7 sub...i have heard the prototype setup for the tC1...everything really

OEM Audio+ is the best for high quality audio

also they told me that after scion, they are trying to push to make it for toyota cars too. they are still in meetings with Toyota Corp about it...only preliminary stuff

Unless I'm completely mistaken, they are 6x9 "woofers". Tweeter = High, Mid Range = Mids, Woofer = Low, Subs = Ultra low audio response. They have a hidden subwoofer for the audio package that sits in trunk.

if u want to get technical yes

at least the main point is still the large speaker is where all the (low audio) bass is coming from on the tC2

We have to be technical on these forms, since some of the readers are new to audio. It would be like calling the stock air filter box, a cold air intake. While it does pull some cold air from outside the engine bay, it's not a true CAI.

nothing is set yet, they are only scion for now (only current gen scions to be exact)...but their goal is toyota (they will do older gens first though, i think) then maybe even other manufactures. baby steps

they are just barely starting...the guys are like a group of friends or like family...very cool, casual, nice, and really into audio/cars. very relaxed...in addition to the cars we even ended up talking about some of the most random things...like Frank&Sons, Horse Racing, Car Meets...haha i dont even remember

and yes, the sub enclosure is glossy...they tried it in the cement demo tC2...it didnt really match...but with the RS and its matching high voltage interior it should look good.

Lol, yup. That's before dealer install fees too. Considering they need to take off 2 door panels, multipul interior pieces, and wire it all up, I bet it will be about 4 hours labor @ ( insert whatever rediculas price your local dealer charges per hour here)

ur talking about the price?

yea it sounds about right for what you get...its like a custom build, easy install, high quality, home theatre inside your car

obviously you can get random components from different brands and install it ur own way for much cheaper...but it will not be tuned specifically for the most optimal sound output than can be obtained within the cabin of the tC2

From what the OEM audio people told me its about less than 2 hours. Its a plug and play system. Dealer fees shouldn't be that much if I'm not mistaken you can even ask the dealer to wave it off.. if they really need the sale.

$1300 is a high price but you look at the stuff you get.. "Finely tuned for your vehicle". How many car speaker manufacturers you know that does that? Jbl's on toyota's? Bose on Nissan's? Rockford's on Mitsubishi?, etc... They do these systems but are they worth it? I DON'T THINK SO! I just had never heard anything like this system before, very unique.

*on the side note* CARBON FIBER SPEAKERS

You gotta hear it to believe it. Its just so easy for us to compare and contrast because we heard their demos in California.
If you guys really want to hear it I guess you can ask you local scion dealership for demos.
As I can see on their Facebook they finally launched their stuff on the main Scion website.
