Personally I like 6000k over the 5000k! beacuse the 6000k will not turn yellow as fast as the 5000k

the k value is the number of kelvins per bulb and the higher the number the duller the bulb actually is... in my opinion if you buy 35w bulbs go with low k value because 35w wont produce enough heat to produce a bright enough light when you really need it.., i had 8000k in mine but they were 35w and you could not see them at all when it rained...very dangerous. but a friend has 55w 8000k and they produce a much better spread in all conditions... so basically what im trying to say is if you want a certain color get 55w bulbs and you should be fine however if you want cheap get low k value and 35w bulbs

Very true, but I heard their are risks with using 55w ballasts including burning housings cause of extreme heat and frying stock wiring. I'd rather not take the risk with a new car, since I'm not running a relay harness.

Stock bulbs are 55w so no risk of burning housing.
