Adding 2nd Reverse Light
voltage, you can have the flashing lights and be going down the street, but if you ____ off a cop, I'm sure he can come up with some reason to give you a ticket. Section 316 of Florida Law covers lights on cars. If you read it, there is plenty of room for interpretation (as always), so South Florida may be a little more picky.
A deputy friend of mine put it this way. Mounted/showing blue lights will get you at least a ticket, if not hit with impersonating a police officer. Mounted red lights are generally okay (so long as they're not on) since you can have them if you're a volunteer firefighter/EMS. Amber/white are fine, but you have to have a "valid" reason to have them turned on. And valid is determined by the guy pulling you over.
My reverse lights only flash when I'm in reverse and since I'm not driving down any roads in reverse, it's not an issue. Besides, the only reason they flash is because i wired in a control box. I can make them flash like in the video, flash together or stay on. Just a flip of a switch to change it and they look just like every other car's reverse lights.

Sorry, I said a while ago I was going to work on it but finally got around to it. Tapped another 7440 socket from the driver side to passenger, drilled a hole with the notches out for the locking of the socket and now I have a second reverse light. YAY! lol It wasn't too hard, but if anyone else is going to try it, I definitely recommend trying to drill upside down. All the little dust and shavings are a pain in the ___ to get out of all the tiny little corners.
Here's a pic of the reverse lights on.

I used a hacksaw blade by itself (no handle) to make the initial cuts. I cut until I got a couple centimeters from the line I drew. Then I took a small razor blade to get a little closer and finally a set of small files to shave down the corners to make it square, rectangle, whatever shape I needed.

Good stuff. And, again, looks great!
