Alternative to lower body graphics
Honestly I thought they would look horrible when I saw the same stripe kit or similar at O'Reileys. I stand corrected. I love the stripe on yours, I like the height you placed it as well. Looks great.
Thanks! The height was the biggest thing that concerned me - I was afraid it would look too much like bodyside molding. Most of the feedback I've gotten has been positive.
I like the red and black, but it seems like the wheels need some red on them. I don't like the completely blacked out look - a red ring around the outer edge would look terrific.
hey that's cool. everyone has an opinion. I don't like going to autozone to differentiate myself so.. I'll leave that one for you. As for the black on black on my car thats where i was going till i could afford a set of black wheels with a red trim.
I've been thinking of adding a Fuel Injected sticker to mine. Just in case people wonder if it has it. ;-)
I like the black wheels with a trim ring or painted edge. Nice retro touch, reminds me of classic Porsches. I wondered when it would make a comeback, and it seems to be doing it. Cars need contrasting details or they look a bit bland to me. With the red stripe on the wheels, that thing would look stunning.

I did add black Clazzios with red stitching, along with matching Redline Goods shift boot and armrest cover. It would look great inside yours, and carry on the red on black theme.

Three was a smiley there for a reason. Looks good.

Word, I do like the red you added to the stripe and i agree on contrasting but chingy is tight right now
So, after several months, I got really tired of the stripe. It was looking really tacky, and seemed like the kind of detail, much like a fart can or lowered suspension, that would make a police officer think "of COURSE this guy is a habitual speeder" and score me a "performance award".
Peeled it off before the paint could fade around it and make it 'permanent,' and added a much more subtle, much classier pin stripe.
It seems that most cars in recent years with pinstriping have been the Avalons and Buicks, but the overall retro 70s/80's lines of the tC made this work pretty well in my eyes.

Also, got the windows tinted to keep the heat levels in check. Thanks to the small windows, very bright paint, and black interior, 35% looks pretty damn dark from the outside, but the view looking out isn't impeded as much as the 20% stuff.
