bumper to fender gap?
i've taken off my bumper a few, but since putting it back on the first time, i have had this gap

it gets larger towards the front of the car. all of the clips are hooked up properly, and in tact. anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

This is a very common problem for people who have taken off their bumper. It has something to do with the clips just not going in correctly. Most people who have taken off their bumper more than once have this issue. I'm not sure if there's a quick fix for it, but maybe someone knows
Push from that side on the front of the bumper kinda back and slightly up. There's a little slop in the bolt hole on most cars so when u tighten it the bolt should hold it up from the pressure. Just try loosening the bolt a little instead before ya take it loose again. Worst that'll happen is it'll look the same and you'll have to take it loose or off anyways.
I have had the same issue with mine after a paint defect Toyota had to repaint my bumper. The shop had to reorder the plastic fasteners that hold the bumper to the car. They said because the bumper and the fasteners are plastic they don't hold properly after removal and re installation.
For anyone out there looking this up in 2022. This has been an issue for years even if you have never taken it off. I had the dealer completely replace all the connectors and even repaint/replace the bumper itself and the problem returned within a year. Did that back in 2012
