I'm sorry if you guys were expecting to come in and find pics of my car with chrome trim. Haha

But anyway! I was wondering what your guy's opinions are on having chrome trim? I wanted to add chrome trims to places like the window trim area and such because I've always wanted to make my car more of a "luxury" look. Idk how achievable it would be since I guess the tC isn't really luxury type at all.

What do you guys think?

 

It would look horrible and I despise the chrome trim I see people putting on their cars.

 

I will be the first to defend what most people think is a bad idea (HD lip for example) but in this case, I have to say nonono. UNLESS, you meet BOTH of the following conditions: your car is black and you have chrome rims. Then and only then, it MAY be exceptable. Moderation is key with chrome.

 

saw a chrome STOCK rim on classic gray/cement like few months ago.. and the driver was a girl... lolz #justsayin

I guess it probably wouldn't look great at all. I was wondering because I came across this video and I liked how the chrome trim on his windows go with the rest of the car. Of course I think that's factory chrome trim though.

I have a MGM tC btw. Wanted black but waited a month and a half with still no black so I got my second color choice instead

Chrome trim looks alright on some cars... But not the tC
Not sure how you can add luxury to the car when everything inside is all hard plastic!

And when I think chrome wheels I think spinners!!

how to make ur car more luxurious in 2 easy steps:

step 1: remove all scion emblems
step 2: replace with lexus emblems

Chrome, not so much. BUT, a VIP styled tC2 would be pimp... I always have a thing for super low cars with huge lipped wheels...
