Default Fog light gap

So I just installed my fogs and i notices a gap in between the lamp and the plastic thing that goes on top of it.
This is the L side (or as I assumed, the driver Side).I tried moving it to the passanger side but it does not fit well so i think it is the driver side.
But then i dont understand that gap. does anybody has this gap also? i find that little space a bit awkward but if thats how it goes than whatever.

here is a pic

I have the same issue... I can live with it, but I noticed a little gapping around the cover... So at night I can see lines around the fog... Do you have that issue too?

That's the gapping I'm talking about.

I found some single sided foam tape... it's pretty thin and if I place it right on the cover i should be able to close that gap.

Why can't you do the independent fog mod?

The gap is there because you can adjust the height position.
