Default Has anyone tried Hide The Plate?

I tried doing a search and came up with nothing. Just curious if anyone has tried this on their TC2 and how reliable it is http://www.hidetheplate.com/index.php?cPath=2

I'm deciding between this or mounting to the grille of an RS7

i use it on my TC1. Not bad, but eventually i will get rid of it. It looks good from the front and does it's job, but from the side you can see the slide bracket so it looks a bit silly. To be honest, I haven't flipped it at all in months because it wont go anymore; i have scraped the hell out of it and the tracks are bent.

Good: no plate bolted to my bumper, looks good from front, used to look decent when taking pictures back when i could flip it down.
Bad: its the first thing to get scraped in a dip or against a parking block, looks strange from the side, easily damaged.

Hope this helps your decision.

Thanks for the reply. My friend is installing the motorized one but now I'm not so sure cause you bring up good points. I was looking at these also http://www.2zero6factory.com/#!plate-mounts ...but would I get the 1 3/4" or would the TC2 RS7 require something different?

I don't think those would work for yours, i think they are more for the older honeycomb style grills.

i think these are the ones a few people on here have on the tc2 so. it should work.

Edit: since i just saw that its for the rs7. and that has a honeycomb grill. then just buy the one for the scion tc (1 3/4") and if its to small. you can go to the hardware store and get bigger washers.

Thank you for the responses. I think I'm going to go with the bolt mounts...Just be on the safe side. Hopefully I receive them before my car comes in this week. I don't know where they ship from on that site. It's my fault if they don't get here....Nothing like making decisions at the last second lol

If you got the 2zero6 ones, he's pretty quick. I think it only took a couple days. Let's just hope he has some in stock! And I love mine. Work like a charm, except I don't need them in Florida.

Ptuning has a relocation kit as well that will not leave holes. It goes into the factory tow hook location. I use it on my tC2

And, out of respect for... jtk2? KidJustin? Whoever made their own license plate mount, you can always create your own as well.
