Default Help Needed! 2014 Scion tC HID Install!

Hello, everyone, I am new to the forum but I've been doing research on what I need to know before I convert to HIDs. Y'all probably already have heard this novice question multiple times but it's my first new car that I can actually slowly do things to (when my minimum wage job supplies enough money, of course). What bulb size is the headlights? I'm getting answers on the forums from 9006-9012. Which one is it for a tC 2.5? In addition, would getting 35w ballasts affect my Hi/Lo Beam functionality? I know the stock bulbs are 55w halogens. How would I be able to align the lights so I do not blind my fellow drivers? Can anyone who has a tC 2.5 send me images and/or a thread that lays out the installation? I need it fool-proof and I mean FOOL-PROOF. Thank you very much, hope to hear from you guys and/or gals soon.

I bought morimoto 35w 5000k 9012 kit for my 14 tc. Works great and looses no functionality with the high beams.

As far as install, its straight forward. There are vids on youtube if you need help

I purchased a 9006 bulb 35w 6000k from hidextra. It works great, only problem with the bulb was I had to do a little bit of trimming on ends so the bulb would fit properly in the housing. This was for my 2014 10 series tc.

Thanks, I was looking up how to change the bulbs on YouTube that specifically showed a 2014 tC but since you two have done the installation already. Do I have to take the front bumper off or can I just get to it through the hood? It would be great if anyone can actually show me what to do with some simple photo editing skills and a decent camera.

I didnt remove the bumper. The only thing I removed was the fill tube for the washer fluid.

How about alignment? How do you align the headlights? Where did you mount the ballasts? I'm an ultra novice. I mean if someone can show me what to do on my specific car then I'll do it when I have the $?

Can you send me pictures of what you did to the 9006s to fit the 9012s socket?
