Default HID canceller/decoder question

I bought an HID kit as well as a canceller or decoder for about a month now, and I started to notice my left lamp is starting to turn white (when looking at the projection, not at the car, it looks correct when looking at the car). Do you think the decoder causes that? Im about to order a new kit, but wondering if I should use a decoder again.

input pls!

Thanks!

Why did you get a decoder? Our vehicles don't need one. Try taking it out and just using the HID kit and see if that does anything differently

what K rating is your bulb? wattage of the ballast?

and what's wrong with the projection looking white?...would you rather it look blue?

Well, I got in a car accident with this car, and when it got sent to the shop, they replaced my HID lights since it broke in the accident. ServiceKings got me a decoder saying that I "needed" it, I said sure. And a month later, I noticed it changed white from 8000k. not sure the ballast w, if I was to guess...maybe 35.

Maybe just bad quality bulbs? Bad quality bulbs fluctuate their color over their lifespan. If they're cheap bulbs then that wouldn't surprise me. You could always just get new bulbs, they're fairly cheap

grab some morimoto bulbs from theretrofitsource.com

they cost a bit more than DDM ($40 a pair i believe). but their color output is spot-on with their rating.
