Default Scion TC2; RSX TS Wing

Disclaimer

Before replying to this thread, please note that every is entitled to their own opinion of what they feel like looks best; in this, we have all our differentiating opinions, and I would like to keep this post free of unnecessary flames.

Yes, I know that I don't have any mods to back up the rice, but soon enough I am going to pick up the trd supercharger (don't want to void my warranty to be honest), most likely just until the 60,000 miles are up and then I'll turbo possibly.

Topic

So, I really have always adored the RSX Type S and Evo8 styled spoilers; I don't know why, but that's not the point.

I have a 2013 Scion TC, Super White, and I have made little modification to it thus far (plastidip, emblems). No factory spoiler because it's bland in my opinion. I like the no spoiler to be honest, but I want to know if one of the wings mentioned above would possibly fit on my hatch?

And I have yet to see what this would look like on my TC, but I'm curious and I'll spend the money to find out unless someone has done it already.

Thank you for anyone who can tell me whether or not one of these spoilers would fit. If you have any other suggestions of possible similarly styled spoilers that would fit, that would also be appreciated.

just an FYI, they dont make the TRD Supercharger for the second gen tC's so you will have to go the route of a Turbo (Dezod, P-Tuning and I think World Racing makes one)

Good luck, I have no clue on the wing, but if you like it and it fits, go for it!

I was under the impression that it was, ///////////ohwell.

I'll delve into the turbos eventually.. Not something I could do on my own, so that's really up in the air. Thanks for the support, though.

Not saying that you shouldn't do it, but here's my thoughts on it. Don't really think the evo style wing will go very well with the body lines of the tc2. Those kinds of wings look better on sleek, streamlined cars. The TC2 in my own opinion has a big, boxy body style with some rounded edges. Not at all streamlined and aerodynamic and sharp as the rsx and evos bodylines. But hey at the end of the day it is your car so make it your own, but yea I too haven't read or seen anything about it tho. Goodluck on the build.

Think I might have meant 36,000 / 3 Year.. Definitely more than 25k though. I could have been wrong about 60k, but I know it's more than 25k.

I kind of just threw that number off the top of my head. If you want, I can double check my exact warranty.

I felt like you don't know half of the stuff u r talking about. I hate to say but search is your friend but anyways, not trying to star any flames

I thing the wings might be a little off with the body line and wheel base distance. The RSX has a shorter wheel base looking than the tc2 and look taller too. I like to keep the slick and low look. But again it is your car, do as you please. And post pics!

People he doesn't want to know your opinions on the looks of it. He has already made up his mind that he thinks it will look cool.

But honestly, you are going to get your answer much more quickly by just going out with a tape measure and getting measurements.
- Measure the depth and width of our rear hatch versus the other car's.
- Measure the depth and width of the spoiler's mounting area.
- Compare the front to back slope of our hatch in comparison to the other car. Even if the spoiler will fit, it could potentially look like it is leaning back if our rear hatch has a different slope than the other car...

It will take you literally just a few minutes to take these measurements/observations and the answer you seek will make itself very obvious to you.

Honestly, I was going to measure it myself, but I was worried about the last point you made; and I don't want it leaning back, and it seems that is what will happen.

conclusion: will probably just go spoilerless due to the dimensions of the TC2 hatch.

Yeahhh I thought so. I'm a fan of large spoilers too (2011+ STi is my favorite) and I'd like to see someone try. I have the OEM spoiler though.

There's a spoiler I've seen on eBay, it's big and boxy and looks like it flows very well. It's made by VIS. I've thought about picking it up, but I am in love with the streamlined looks of being spoiler-less. You should check it out.. The spoiler reminds me of the integra type r wing just to give you an idea of what it looks like.
