HiD light help!

www.hidnation.com, I have used them for several different cars. Good prices, options and customer service. I put 8k hid kit in my girlfriends Altima and she loved them super white with a slight blue tint. I am currently running the 10k which has a bluer tint to them. They have the option for a relay and canceller but I believe those are for daytime running lights only. My kit for the tc2 was a simple plug and play took about 5 mins to install.

i noticed that xentec really suck, i gave a friend a set of the onces i had just because they were way better, granted they are still cheap and not oem set. ddmtuning sells a good set for the price and they are slim ballast

Depending on your budget, take out your halogen projectors and retrofit some HID projectors in their place. The RX350 projector was a direct swap for the '11-'13...not sure if the '14-current using the same bolt pattern for the projectors though.
Anyhow, if you want more light then you'll need to go with a lower kelvin bulb, such as 4300K or 5000K.

Did you install HIDs in the factory lights before you did the retrofit? Was the result of your retrofit worth the time and expense? Is there a big differance?
I retro'ed my previous vehicle, light output was GREAT, compared to factory reflector lights. I'm using silverstar ultras in my 12 tC projectors. (I already know about the short life of silverstars) Light output is "good", but not HID great. I can see a fuzzy, faint blue cutoff line, because of the frosted lenses. But the cutoff is straight, thou not very wide. "Clear lenses" would make a world of difference.
My question is, do the factory projectors produce an acceptable light output with HIDs. I'm on the fence about another retrofit, I miss the HID illumination, but I don't want to open my headlights. The only reason I would retro is to lose the "squirrel finders" and to add clear lenes.
BTW do our lights have a 3" lenses?

I had HIDs in the stock projectors before the retrofit, and yes they were a lot better than the halogen bulbs. The HID projectors just make better use of the HID bulbs...wider and better throw. I also have the clear lenses on the HID projectors.
biglilsteve has a great write-up on it here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sci...cement-225776/
As far as the cost goes, it is higher than just a plug-n-play kit, but I think its well worth it. I have a lot better light output plus dual high beams since the projectors are bi-xenon. I believe another member removed the squirrel finders and replaced the lenses with clear ones on the stock projectors and that made a great improvement to the light output. The stock projectors have decent light output with HIDs, especially compared to the 2013 Dodge Dart that my fiancé has. It has bi-halogen projectors, and they're complete garbage!!

There's no such thing as adjusting brightness.
Adjustments can be made to the beam/focus by modifying your projector...but you'd need to open the headlights of course.
The only adjustment that can be made from outside the headlights is vertically (up and down). No horizontal (side-to-side) adjustment exists.
