Did u take them off? Wat did u use to paint the letters?

 

Looks really good I did mine almost the same way yesterday...but I had a lot of trouble doing the letters

i just sprayed them black. then got some white model paint and did the letters. then sprayed clear coats. up close they look nasty lol. but the best i can do.

 

yes i took them off. used black spray paint and clear coat from autozone. and used white model paint. the kind that comes in a small glass jar.

 

got cha, well it looks better than the stock look

 

never thought about model paint im going to have to try this. looks good to me

 

Whew I thought i was the only one with it looking good far but hideous up close haha

I'm thinking of trying to mask the letters n paint...it will be a pain but hopefully better results

 

Yea dude. Paintin them letter are hard!! I think the only way you could truly make them look good. Is get them professionally done. Someone that's a master in pin striping or something. But mines good. Just don't get up close lol.

i was wondering....is it (plasti-dip) harder to remove with a clear coat?

as in, if u mess up

 

well i only messed up about 10 times lol. and i didnt plasti dip them. i used regualr spray paint. and the primmer i put on first was really easy to remove when i messed up.

 

I havent posted any pics up yet but when I did clear over my colored plastidip, it really didnt seem to change the properties that much. Though, I did it on a small test patch area (the cover for the tow hook spots). It may be more difficult on larger areas.
