Default Problem with Foglights.

Recently I changed the standard halogen bulbs in my fogs to HID's. A few days later, I noticed condensation forming on the inside of the housing lens on both the passenger and driver side. I checked the bulbs over, and over again to make sure they are correctly fitted and securely in place. The housing isn't filling up with water, then lens is just getting fogged up.

Is there any way to figure out how to fix this ?

Actually funny story. I did the same thing about a month ago. Then today I looked at it and the same thing is happening. Like you I checked to make sure everything is tight. It's only one foglight. If anyone has any info on how to fix it it would be much appreciated.

i would just take the fogs out and remove the bulbs, let it dry for a day and then find an headlight bulb grease, i know auto zone sells it and comes in what looks like a ketchup packet (they try to sell it to you when u buy new bulbs from them) and that might give it a better seal and stop your problem

It's cuz there's not a tight enough seal between the foglight housing and the bulb. It's not your housing's fault or your fault, it's because the HID plastic on the bulb is slightly to thin, so it isn''t tight enough. Definetley take the housing out and let it dry out, then either get a new bulb and replace that one, or use that one and coat it in silicone. Downside to the silicone is that if the bulb goes out then you'd have silicone stuff all over your housing

Thanks for the replies ! I did try the bulb grease as it was only a dollar so it was worth a try... So far there is no condensation on the driver side, but the passenger side still gets a little. So I guess I'll just have to make due with that.
