Angry tC 2014+ HID (9012) bulb issues

I bought an HID kit (from TRS) and of course i figured out what size bulbs to get by looking at my OEM bulbs and also by looking at the Philips bulb chart (9012's).. Got the kit and installed it, then I realized the bulbs don't really fit how they are supposed to. The ground wire (coming out of the tip of the bulb) is supposed to face down to the ground and it was facing up (10/11 o'clock position). They are also quite loose, even tried switching out the O-ring from my OEM bulbs and they are still pretty damn loose.

Comparing the tabs on the bulbs they look identical except the big tab is on the opposite side of the bulb of where it should to be.

They told me i need to order 9006's and trim the top tab, anyone else have this problem?

Seems kinda odd to me because when i google 9012 halogens it has pictures of how my OEM bulbs look, and when i google 9012 HIDs it comes up with pictures of how the 9012 HIDs that i got in the kit look like.

Yep morimoto Kit.. Hmm that's weird cause it definitely doesn't fit mine.. When did you get it?

Not loose? The ground wire coming out of the tip of the bulb is facing to the ground??

Been emailing back and forth with TRS for the past two weeks or so and they told me to order the 9006 bulbs.

Thanks for the reply

My last post got moderated somehow...

Anyways:
I got mine from lightwerkz(they are sister company of TRS). Are you using their harness? I don't. I have them connected directly.

Ah, yea their stuff is exactly the same.. I am using their harness and everything, but my problem isn't with the harness its with the direction the bulbs are facing inside the projectors. Also they are not a very snug fit and when i go over bumps i can see the light bouncing which I've read can melt your projectors if you let the bulbs stay loose like that..

Also i noticed in your build you said you have the 5000k bulbs but they don't seem to have that option anymore? (unless you meant 5500k?)

Thats weird... not sure what to tell you, mine fit perfectly fine.

I was wrong lol, I got them from TRS and they are indeed 5500k.
I have bought from lightwerkz before so i didn't remember.

hmmm... your sure they are facing the right direction?

The wire coming out of the bulb is supposed to be at the 6 o'clock position inside the projectors.

This is what i need (the tabs are in the right orientation) The arrow is pointing to the wire that needs to face downwards to the ground.

These are what i got from TRS (notice the big tab is in a different spot..)

Cause if it does face to the ground that would suggest either I'm doing something wrong or my projectors are somehow different....

Thanks for the pictures

well just got the 9006 bulbs from TRS in the mail, the tab orientation looks a lot more promising.. will update with results.

Edit:
Just test fitted them and they literally fit perfect.. TRS said i might have to trim one of the tabs but I didn't which is pretty nice..

The tabs are a bit different but i guess they work.

here is how the 9006 tabs compare to the 9012's (9006 on the left 9012 on the right)

Thanks for trying to help @zi0n
