I know Seibon is high quality, but I know many people add extra layers of clear on CF to prevent yellowing... whats the practicality for a high quality good such as this?

Also, OEM latch?

There is not a catch for the water, just some mesh. I am sure there will be some extra cleaning when its time for a car wash but then again, it's worth it for tha look!!!

..and besides if you are **** like me you probably wipe down your engine bay every time you wash it, right?

All Seibon Carbon parts come with a great 6 month warranty and are manufactured using a high quality clear coat that honestly holds up better than anyone else's on the market.

Yes... 100% OEM latch for mounting.

The issue of the rain/car wash still hasn't been addressed by the Descendant guys. Please elaborate on how the hood is constructed.

The hood is an open vented hood, if it rains, it will rain into your engine bay.

Not sure I know how it would do in a car crash, but I know how it stands against a sawzaw. One layer of carbonfiber and several layers of fiberglass, not that durable against a great force. I would predict that the hood would more than likely splinter into a multitude of pieces with clear coat flying everywhere....
