Ive had an issue with going into first, toyota skimped out on the trannys, i put it into first and then yank it quickly into first, it works, but this rarely happens. Any other problems may happen from burning the clutch or poor driving skill(no offense)

no offense taken but i know its not my driving ive been driving sticks since i was 14 but i did have the auto version with my first tc2 and that transmission was replaced about 7000 miles in so im guessing its probably cheap transmission problems but i havent really had too much of an issue for the past couple of days so hopefully all is fixed

I've had the same problem with it not wanting to go into first. The instances are few and far between but still annoying. I usually just put it down in second then back up to first and that seems to work really well.

If you let the car roll forward/backward a little, it should let you engage 1st gear with no problem.
