Critter Issue

2012 Scion tc

There is a critter making a home on top of the engine. First off, what are these (circled in red) called? Also, what type of engine cover would you recommend getting?

I think they're the coil packs. I'm not sure an engine cover would work, if its a smaller rodent they may actually like it better underneath the cover.

The engine cover is still up in the air. Have to wait and see if the critter returns or not.
