Default fuel pump/what else is needed

i have a tc2 with TRD intake and exhaust, and a Weapon R header deleting the main CAT, just ordered a walboro 255lph high flow fuel pump. My question is what else do i need to get the ultimate/perfect amount of flow, before i get the remap computer by Jet?

Do you plan on going FI? If not, with the mods that you do have, why do you need a higher volume fuel pump?

no im staying n/a looking at intake manifold and computer next, trying to get as much power as possible with bolt on mods then going into the head for valve cuts and port and polish FI just runs too many people away from a good race

You should be fine with stock fuel system with the mods that you're planning to do. Are you getting a can tune from Jet or actually having someone tune the car?

got the jet v force power module on order which allows for throttle change, air fuel ratio and not sure but hoping it allows rev limiter change going to do a test and tune myself

already installed the fuel pump today can definately tell a difference has way more mid range i did it because the car was on the lean side and seemed to be wanting more fuel it was a total _____ to install and took alot of injenuity and heavy modification of the stock container now it just keeps popping the supply lines need to get something that can handle the pressure hydraulic line or something the auto zone line keeps cracking lol

Are you using fuel injection hoses or just regular fuel hose? Regular fuel hoses will not hold on a fuel injected system, ask for fuel injection hose. It is a little more expensive but you won't be popping hoses, also use fuel injection hose clamps.

yeah used fuel injection hoses but auto zones were not nearly as beefy as the three inch hose walboro sent, talked to the fast scions guy today he swore up and down that the pump makes a dyno proven difference and would not need a regulator until i did my head work, we will see if it makes a difference i was running 9.3 sec 8ths with stock tires feels like 9.1 with the the pump before it pops the hose lol

the jet v force chip but its a hard wire and really will only benefit manuals but manual is the only way to go with a 2 door lol oh by the way the walboro pump does work on the gen 1 but on my gen 2 that sucker burried the stock fuel regulator all it did was make the car shoot out black smoke and cut off every five minutes do not get it fast scions is giving me a refund on it

the second gen has a canister with a pump inside which uses an in tank pressure regulator if you want more fuel for free simply cut the bottom of the canister off be careful its very brittle and remove the tiny fuel feed line from the side i did this after removing the walboro and it was much much better

I was wondering how you got away with the stock regulator, but guess you didn't. You may have to delete the stock regulator and put an external one in place to be able to run a different pump.

yeah i tried every way possible to incorporate the stock in tank regulator but its just not possible without a canister that would resemble the stock one in the tank unless you can find a high volume pump that is the same size as the stock one there is an AEM pump available but i think it would be the same problem

however for cheap easy hp just remove the stock system and cut the bottom of the main canister as well as the micro feed line definately gives it more fuel today i went 165miles baby footing it and averaged at 17mpg before i could get about 22-24mpg

o tag saving fuel may be your thing but i think most of us here arent all about the economy, most if not all of us gen 2 scion guys bought the car to finally put a smack down on the honda dudes who have held the crown in the streets for the past decade and the gen 2 scion in fact will kick an si's ___ basically i want to burn fuel like an arab sheik, and burn rubber like an un lubricated condom, HP is the ultimate goal if you want economy get a prius

I bought the car because it has potential, it is reliable, and it looks sleek. Don't really care if I am the fastest on the road or not, I just know that those who say it is just a Scion end up seeing my taillights. However, like o tag said, a brand new car that was created for economy seeing less than 20mpg N/A is ironic.
