we race alot in north carolina and virginia for lots of cash, the old TCs have a reputation of being ____ slow terds even the super charged ones then i drove my wife's new TC and was surprised as hell when i smoked my boys beefed up prelude, there for i saw the potential for a sleeper and went to the dealership and got me one. lets face it if i went with a STI or a S2000 then i wouldnt be able to surprise people they would know its fast, but when they see a scion instantly the assume easy money lets race, the only problem is the money goes in my pocket

yeah man these motors are the new generation of race import ive owned nothing but vtec hondas up to this point, have not had it dyno tuned yet but raced my buddy's hatch/H22 swap last weekend and destroyed him he is putting 197HP to the wheels and 167 torque so i know i got to be close to that ball park however he still has back seats and a system in the trunk where all i have is an empty noisy hollow shell LOL wieght to hp ratio is the key

another good tip for you is turn the key to on position but don't start it, then disconect the mass air flow sensor from your intake, you will hear the ECM reset then plug it back in, Start the car and you will see the check motor light is on as well as your traction control light, what this does is deletes the traction control so she will burnout and not kick in while cornering hard

Also if you have nitrogen in your tires switch it to air the nitrogen is too stiff for a light front wheel drive and it will make you wheel hop really bad Air gives a bit and causes for a much harder grip nitrogen tires have green valve stems

oh yeah the car will reset itself after five starts so its not a permanent mod, but mine is a 2011 and traction control can only be turned off if you are going less then 30mph and are in 1st or the begining of 2nd so disconecting that sensor makes for huge improvement definately if your on a dragstrip of road with alot or curves it will not damage the trans or motor at all!!!!
