Default Injen SRI MR series throwing CEL

I purchased an injen sri several weeks ago. After installation the car was running great, with no cel on the dash. After about 3 weeks (2 gas tank fill-ups) and roughly 400 miles after instal the cel came on. This particular intake is not suppose to throw the cel, has anyone else who purchased the same injen mr series been having any issues with it? The code that registered was p0101 which is a range/performance issue with the maf sensor. If so has anyone been able to eliminate the cel permanently, and how? I've taken the whole intake off and retightened everything, along with trying to reset/clear the cel with no success. There are no leaks anywhere on the intake not even on the maf sensor housing. And the maf sensor is spotless (not a spec of dirt on it, looks brand new), and has been cleaned. Still to no avail, cel came back on after about 15 miles of driving after clearing the code. Anyone got any more insight as to why the cel could still be set off? At this point I'm ready to contact injen to try and get their two cents on the situation. The intake should come with a limited lifetime warranty, but don't know if injen would swap it out for another. I understand that the code registering isn't hurting anything it's more the fact that I don't want to see that damn light on. Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated

MAF is seeing too much flow. Take a pic of the intake on the car and where the MAF is located on it.

The Short ram sits on top of driver side in the engine bay, located next to the battery. The maf sensor sits directly ontop of the intake tube

I'll keep you posted CB. Yea I researched this particular intake for weeks and ordered it for that reason, that it wasn't suppose to throw the cell

The thread is inconclusive! No understandable reason as to why the CEL was thrown multiple times.

Although I did manage to get the CEL to turn off and stay off after a very expensive part was installed. The Dezod Motorsports v2 green catted header. Car runs and sounds amazing and has over 500 miles with the injen sri intake and the green headers installed.

I just found that on my K&N after a year or two started throwing codes. I looked and the EVAP sensor had come undone (This is mounted to the intake via a screw. The sensor is behind the intake tube and to the right with several hoses coming out of it. This was getting kinked and throwing CEL's from time to time and would turn on, then turn off after driving for a while. I can only assume the hose was kinking and moving around.

check this out and see if this is the case. Also, make sure there are no leaks or kinks on the vacuum tube leading from the top of the engine to the intake tube.

Good Luck

i actually never attached the evap sensor to my intake, only because the screw stripped and could never get it off, so its loose right now, how much harm and i doing leaving it loose?
