Default JET Throttle Body Spacer???

Has anyone installed this yet? Any actual gains and or codes thrown? I plan on doing an intake very shortly and figured why not go for this as well. Just wanted to see if anyone has used it yet.

and even though their site says good for the 2011, it says its for a 2.4l and if yours is the car in your pic, you have a 2.5l engine. might not fit, I'd contact the manufacturer.

I'm not expecting any noticeable hp gains or anything I know that won't be the case. Just curious if anyone had one that's all. My main concern would be having codes thrown. Also I wasn't sure if there was any change in gas mileage positive or negative. Not expecting much of anything from just a spacer but I'm sure it won't hurt to add it.

So you are willing to buy and install a part that does nothing just because "it wont hurt to add it?"

No im not looking to install it just because. I am sure that it will have some sort of minimal positive effect. Im not gonna throw it on just to say I have it however it claims to have positive fuel gains. I guss what I am saying is if no one else has used one it couldnt hurt to be the one to try. If it comes down to it and there is a negative impact it is as easy as taking it off. But you dont know till you try and I havent heard of anyone using one yet.

Yea for sure give it a try. I havent heard of anyone using one yet.

Throttle body spacers don't really do anything in the first place, and on top of that, we have an electric throttle. So if anything at all comes out of it I would be amazed.

But call them and check, because as said before that's for a 2.4L and we have a 2.5. The Throttle body might be different, I'm not sure

Yea I wouldn't do anything without double checking first. I'm thinking of sending an email not only about the fit but also if they have any numbers to prove what they claim.

Be careful of spending money to improve fuel economy. If it improved it 1 mpg (doubtful) lets say, it would save most of us about $65 a year in fuel. So you are already looking at what, a year and a half or so nust to break even on the purchase. And tiny savings after of about $5 bucks a month. And that is only if it makes any difference. Whats worse, trying to measure such a small change is not accurate even with long term data. I have data going back years of fillups and mileage on my tc. Overall average floats between 24 and 26 mpg. So unless something consistently made a few mpg difference, it would be hard to attribute to that one thing.

I just have a hard time personally spending money on something that will net almost negligible gains at best and likely will do nothing.

Plenty of people have run these on 1st gens. Some will say they do nothing, some will always try to justify thier purchase by saying "I feel a difference" :p But you will likely never find good, reliable measured data that shows you any change with one. Even a few hp is not something you feel or can reliably attribute to a change on a dyno most times. The way I look at it then is that I would be spending my hard earned money on something I would not notice even if it did work.

Thats just my 2 cents though. Its your money and your car.
