Manual Transmission Oil Change

Manual Transmission Oil Change
Alright guys, I've looked around the forum and only found one thread on gear oil change for the Manual Transmission and it didn't even have pictures. So heres my write up on how to change your gear oil. Apparently its recommended to do it every 30k miles and I just did mine at 65k. I am not liable if you screw this up.
Things you need to do this.
24mm Socket
1/2 drive wrench
fluid pump (I bought mine from Autozone for $9.00)
image hosting site
2 jackstands
Oil pan
3 quarts of whatever gear oil you want to use (gear capacity is 2.5quarts)
I'm only providing pictures for the important parts of the oil change. I'm assuming if you're tackling this maintenance you already know how to jack your car up.
1. Jack your car up and put it on jackstands. Please use jackstands, You're gonna be under the car for a good bit and if this car falls on you. You're pretty much a pancake.
2. Once its up off the ground go under your car and on the drive side of the car you'll see the transmission housing.
3. There will be a plug at the front of the transmission housing, it'll be facing the radiator. It's a little hard to find at first, but its the biggest bolt on the front of the transmission. I circled it Red and it'll have a sticker that says "please read manual before filling"

4. Grab your 24mm socket, throw it on and wrench it off. It's not torqued on super tight so it'll be easy to pop off. As you're backing the screw out you'll hear hissing and thats just air escaping. Just go slow until its completely off.
5. Now grab your oil pan and throw it under the drain plug.If I had a lift I could've taken a picture with both of them in it so you can see the relation, but i'll try my best to describe where its at.
The drain plug is 24mm and looks identical to your fill plug except it won't have a sticker on it. The plug located at the back of the transmission housing facing the passenger side of the car. I circled it in red

Now I didn't get pictures of me pulling the drain plug off cause it spilled everywhere and made a huge freaking mess all over the ground. When you undo the plug, GO REALLY SLOW and as it starts to trickle let it trickle into the oil pan. There is literally no way to drain it without making a mess so you have to let it trickle for awhile. Then let the rest of it drain once the trickle stops.
6. Once you've drained out all the old oil. Put the plug back and tighten it to the torque spec if you'd like, I just hand tighten and went 1/4 turn tighter.

7. Now go to your fill plug and shove that clear hose into the housing as far as it'll go.

8. Stick the other end of the pump in the new gear oil container and pump away.
P.S. 'm using MT90 cause I've read really good things about it and I figured I'd give it a try.

9. Now you can do this 2 ways and its up to you and the tools you have available. Once you've pumped 2 quarts into the transmission.
1. You can measure out 0.5 quarts and pump that in with the pump and put the fill plug back and tighten it down. (this is what I did because I didn't have a hydraulic jack with me)
2. You can put a hydraulic jack on a jack point under the back of the car and lift the rear end so that the car is as horizontal as possible. Then pump in the last quart of oil until oil spills out of the fill plug, that is another way to get the last .5 quarts in.
10. Once you've put the oil in, screw the plug on and tighten it down. Again there are torque specs, but I just did hand tight and 1/4 turn after hand tight.
11. Put the car down and row through the gears with the clutch pushed in and Tada! you're done.
