Haha... lol... mine is really not major, just exhaust and few weeks a CAI. Oh, any words of wisdom on which CAI (not short ram) works great with our tC?? Bypass necessary?

I personally have the Takeda and haven't had a single issue with it. Others however have gotten CELs with it. I wouldn't recommend it just to play it safe for you.

If I were in the market for one now, I'd go with the new AEM one. Heard nothing but positive things about it. Descendant is also ok, but I have heard from a few people that it had quality control issues. Nothing major though.

Oh and bypass isn't necessary. I have been through all sorts of rain...even hurricane Irene over here on the east coast. No problems.

Descendant all the way! I've had no issues and most don't either. Its also not too expensive, easy to install, and you have the option to do a full CAI or install it short and do a SRI. Personally I don't think you need a bypass or a hydrosheild (IMO, if you have to go with one, I like the bypass better, seems safer to me, plus you can always just clean the filter) BUT I just have it as a "just in case" or a "better safe than sorry"

If you're not scared of blowing a load and causing a few accidents...or even risking the chance of a burning feeling in the tailpipe. Just do it like Stephen, go raw or go home!

I remember when AEM came out for the lexus IS back in 2001. My brother had it on his IS without CEL prob and sounded good. Do you know which vendors here sells it less?

Oh yeah Justin... Descendant is about $50 less than most. I forgot about them! Good to know you have not had any CEL problems! I got to check out your page for CAI pics.

What's the HP gain and torque on the AEM and Decendant? The dark color AEM looks bad a$$!

Descendant is the way to go if you don't wanna spend much money. It's inexpensive and it's a pretty good CAI. I've had both the Takeda and the AEM. The Takeda was AWESOME for about amonth, then it gave me a CEL that I couldn't clear so I got rid of it. The AEM has been awesome for about 2 months, except a week ago it started freaking out and I got a CEL - made my car run rich. Yesterday I uninstalled it, cleaned everything out, and reinstalled it and now it's working perfect again. Highly reccomend the AEM!

An Intake is an investment, don't let that measely price increase make you pick something you dont want!

Minimal. Don't expect anything major. You will get slightly more pep in the mid to upper range. If I had to put a number on it I'd say less than 5. If that.

Is it just me or does the Megan look identical to the Tsudo?

They do look identical, Megan has 1 resonator and Tsudo has 2. Megan seem to be more aggressive looking considering its tip is very close to touching the bumper. Sound seem the same, Megan might be a tad lower (IMO from YouTube clips). But I’ll know more when I get mine in few days. And it does come with 3 polyurethane hangers that “seem” similar to torque solutions.

This is on Megan’s website… this exhaust will NOT fit the RS7 series or with TRD rear lip….

You'll need two more hangers in order to have the exhaust on 100% poly hangers.

I thought about that this morning. Emailed TS if they can just sell me 2, 12mm hangers.

No worries, I had to do that VERY same thing when I swapped from my Tsudo to the TRD. Here you are...$8 a piece
