No Engine Cover..
Hey guys.. When to check out the new 2011 tC and I really like it.. Great looking body, nice interior, but when I checked out under the hood, what up with the missing engine cover?
All you see are the ignition coils, some wires, and a bunch of hoses... What the cool factor about that?
I have never looked under the hood of the 1Gen tC, is it the same with no engine cover?

I drove the tC2 at Scion VIP and there was no engine cover.

They don't come with engine covers. Scion did it to trim the price down to their sub 20k price point.
Kinda cheap, yeah, but is it a big deal? No, not really.

those are separate covers. like for the cobra motors there are coil covers. new motors have separate covers for the engine. valve covers usually just do that, cover the valves, springs and heads.
Lol I was checking out the first one our dealership got in yesterday and thought maybe someone had already stole the engine cover.
One should work from a Camry or RAV4 they both use the 2.5. Its even got the ***** where it snaps on, just no cover. Really cheap.

is not having an engine cover kinda cheap? yes, is it a deal breaker? for me, absolutely not. and should it be? not really. are you going to be rolling down and strip and people will snicker that you don't have an engine cover? will a date or a friend get in your car and go "what no engine cover? how ghetto!" it is the omission of a trim piece that isn't functional and only cosmetic when the vehicle is stopped and the hood is open.
