Question Pilot bearing or shim?

on TC2 manual, does it use a pilot bearing or a Pilot shim? The clutch kit I'm looking at only comes with the disk and pressure plate, but no bearings or alignment tool, so I have to buy them separate

Not sure on TC2, but lots of FWD engines don't have pilot bearings because input-shaft doesn't doesn't slide into it. I suppose centering is done by alignment of transmission-housing to block?

I know all the Mazda's I had had pilot bearings, but the Hondas had shims, so I wasn't sure

If anyone comes along this thread: The OEM clutch kit doesn't come with a shim or a pilot bearing, so while I dunno if it has either, I know the kit doesn't come with one
