Default S-Pipe

Am I missing something or has nobody made an s-pipe for the tc2 other than descendant ? In the dezod green header thread Paul says they'll be making one in 3 months. That was a lot more than 3 months ago. Is it just because the stock s-pipe is not restrictive enough to matter ?

Lol yeah. And it will be a good way to squeeze every drop of power out of your top-end. Your low-end will suffer a bit though.

Why would the bottom end suffer as long as you still have a catted header to provide adequate back pressure ?

Just going to a 2.5" cat-back took some oomph out of my bottom end. When I got rid of it and reinstalled the factory exhaust it actually felt like an upgrade. Not in sound of course...the car seemed eerily quiet.

Nooooo don't misunderstand me. It felt nice anywhere above 3500-4000rpm. It pulled nicely when you really got into it. But when driving normally around town it was sluggish. I do admit the factory exhaust doesn't pull as hard near redline... But I don't drive like that very often.

I haven't gotten my intake parts yet but I have a feeling with my catback it's going to breath a lot more once they're here. S pipe at 300 is kind of ridiculous Imo. I only paid slightly more for my entire catback. Maybe I'll stumble on a used 1 one day.

So is the picture of the s pipe just a generic picture or is it the actual product. Does anyone have it ? From what I see the stock one has a flexible donut seal at both ends. The one in the picture shows a solid mount at 1 end and the other end having the flexible donut gasket I'm talking about. I suppose it would be possible to remove the donut seal at the exhaust manifold and replace it with a flat solid seal. ????

Wtf the racing solution picture of it mounted shows springs for a donut seal at the same end that shows a flat mount in the picture of the s pipe by itself.
