A Story of Three Motor Mounts (GGP, TS, OEM)
I just got my mount today and installed it! I pretty much just laid underneath the bumper and unscrewed the bottom 2 bolts blind. I had issues with getting the bolts loose, so I used a cheater bar as well. The only thing I'm unsure about is if I over tighten the mount. After tighten the bolt the sides of the mount are pushing out, I'm not sure if it is the results of me over tighten causing the metal on the car to bend. I have attached a photo of it, I'm hoping someone could tell me if I screwed up and if there are any detrimental effects this has on the car.
Other than that I love the way the car feels with the mount! I was sitting on the fence with a aftermarket mount, but that all went the windows when I started the car for the first time.

Yeah I think you overtightened it a bit. Lay off the roids! You could take it back off and bend the mount brackets back out. I'd just loosen the nut a little and let it be. Use some loc-tite if you are worried about it backing off over time..You could fatigue the mounts and cause them to break if you mess with them too much.
I've had my mount for a week now, and I definitely love the way it responds now. No more wiggle in the engine bay, but, and a big but is the cabin vibrations are multiplied by 10 when the car is lower than 1000rpm's. Either way, there's always sacrifices that have to be made to get performance over comfort. I can't stop flooring the accelerator now.
On the other part, I'm a bit displeased with the fact that always shipping charges are much higher for PR, AK and HI given the fact that it is the same USPS with flat rates for all the states including PR. I got charged 39.95 for shipping when the medium flat rate box goes for $11.35 here and there and that was what said on it... So I might have been a bit screwed paying $124.95 instead of $97 in total...

OK... It's been 2 weeks now with the GGP mount. I really like the performance and just about no wheel hop. Feels better and nice when you start the car! However I am not crazy about the vibrations inside the cabin. I thought I could get used to it, but I can't. I might go back to stock since I enjoy the quietness. So I might just sell it here for like $70.00 shipped (USA) if there's any interest.
It does come with 2 other poly rings, not 100% sure where those goes??

Anyways, I use the hard bushings and I have seen a lot of you guys complain about vibrations whereas it doesn't bother me at all. I drive a manual and I understand the vibration is worse in an automatic. Nevertheless, the only vibrations I deal with are at start-up and low rpms in 1st and 2nd. It wasn't until recently, that I noticed one other factor in this. The A/C will make a ton of vibration when you are idling. I never use my A/C so I have never noticed this until I turned it on for someone else in the car.
So, this is what I offer to all of you: stop using your a/c, the car loses of lot of its pep when you turn the a/c on. This car is supposed to be fun to drive, so don't handicap it.
Oh OK. Thanks man. That's what I thought!!
Does anyone know which one is factory installed/default when they ship out? Is the harder one default? So the extra bushing are the softer ones??

Just got mine in today. Swapped out the soft bushings for the harder ones and will be installing this weekend. Much thanks and respect to Geoff for being nothing less than a professional salesman throughout this transaction.
I live in AZ and now that we're hitting 108+ degree weather outside I need the AC on. I love the way the car feels except at stops when the car is at low idle. But I purchased this mount knowing it was going to do that since I had the P-Tuning mount with street insert in my Tc1. If I didn't have a baby on the way I would keep the mount on since I feel as if there are more benefits to keeping it on. But I need to put the factory mount back on once the baby is born.
Just finished the install and test run of the GGP MM using the 88dm bushings. Like others have stated, idle and shifting into first gear will add noticeable cab vibration as well as running the AC. However, you will also notice a gain in response from your vehicle which in turn will add to the overall performance. I'm all about the added response/performance as well as the new attitude problem my engine seems to have. Please note that I'm using this mount along side the Dezod catted header as well as the Injen CAI.
With the AC on, I can't stand that much vibrations inside the cabin. IMO its unbearable. But without the AC on, it's not bad at all. I can always put it back on during fall, winter and spring.
Is this a problem for everybody? Doesn't seem to be a problem for me, but then I don't use the AC much. I have used it however, and it wasn't a huge problem at idle, for me and my car (manual transmission).
At a certain level it probably comes down to small variations between vehicles (for some reason it seems to be more of a problem for the automatics?), coupled with the individual tolerance to vibration, modulated by one's desired mix of performance & comfort. I suppose you could just turn off the AC when you are coming to a stop, though that might get old if you have to do that a lot.
