I can't wait to get it installed tomorrow.

Edit: Finally got it installed. It feels a lot different from stock. It was my first mod ever I have done to a car. It felt so rewarding after I got it installed and see the final product. I also bought the TWM bushing kit. SO far the cable bushings are installed. Will the base bushings add to the shifting feel overall?

Thank you Supertek for a great product.

It will further reduce the mushy-ness of the shifter. Changed to the metal base bushings and it makes it feel less vague when shifting from gear to gear. It's noticeable between 4-5 up shift (probably because of the way I shift). There is no harm in doing it, it's not too terribly difficult to remove the center console anyway. It won't COMPLETELY remove all the play in the shifter, but it will remove most of it. This is due to the limitation of a cable based shifter.

Yes it will work for your car. the 2014 model did not change engine or transmission setups from the tC2, so shortshifters will fit.

Got mine last week and installed it today. Pretty smooth sailing other than that stupid U bolt. Man it was a _____.

I used a pair of locking pliers and just reeled upwards on it till it finally just let go. Feels great. Seams like a lot more than 30% less to me.

What is the difference between the Supertek and the TRD short shifter, that is, except for the price?

Thanks!

Nothing. The TRD is painted but I just covered mine with door handle grease to prevent oxidation or rust on the bolts.
Other than that it's an exact copy.

howdy all,

my first post here. I ordered this part online on Monday the company shipped it out super quick. Unfortuanitly the United States Postal Office lost my item and are blaming it on bad weather..

The wait has been horrendous, to make matters worse talking to USPS customer service requires a 30 minute wait time minimum.

Anyways, as i count the hours passing by, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems after installing this item in your car.

Bomino installed this product about two years ago, i was wondering if he had any problems since then.

thanks for any input.

Mine broke where the set screw tightens it up. I ordered another because supertek was non responsive and it was cheap on tRDsparks.Com. After having the short throw, I couldn't go back

Default Any issues?

I just installed the Super Tek short shift kit in my 2014 tC. I felt major improvement after installation and driving around for a couple of hours.

I've noticed one issue (which I will check soon), and it's that when I'm in second gear it pops in but as I shift and press on the clutch, it feels as if it pops out on its own. This is only with 2nd gear. Has anyone else had this issue?

I'll double check my connections and installation this weekend.

Default Tad confused

Hey guys, what's the order of the washers? I was installing and after driving with it for a little while, I felt like I placed the washers in the wrong order. If anyone could answer please.

Just chiming in to say I've been running this for 2 years and haven't had an issue. Also threw mine on with the Torque Solutions shifter bushings to get a stiffer shift feel. No complaints.

6-year update. Still perfect.

These have been discontinued IIRC. Should still be able to find the TRD short shifter though. I think there was another option available on eBay as well that looks the same but is gold.

Do the Torque Solutions shifter bushings and the MTEC shifter spring at the same time since you'll be in that area already. Solid upgrades that really help this sloppy gearbox.
